The 27-second video, capturing the “magical moments” between the elephant and its mahout, was recorded by wildlife photographer Dhanu Paran at the Kozhikamuthi Elephant Camp in Tamil Nadu’s Anamalai Tiger Reserve.

In the viral video, the mahout and the elephant are seen walking through the lush green, picturesque camp on a rainy afternoon. The mahout, holding an umbrella, walks along the path while lovingly stroking the gentle giant. A mahout is a rider, trainer, or keeper of elephants.

“Magical moments between a mahout and his elephant in monsoon showers at the Kozhikamuthi elephant camp in Anamalai Tiger Reserve, Tamil Nadu,” Sahu captioned her post.
