With an undefeated 69 off just 30 balls, Ashwin helped the Dragons chase down a target of 109 in just 10.5 overs with nine wickets remaining.

The Dindigul Dragons elected to bowl first after winning the toss in the Friday, August 2 encounter at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. With 3 wickets for just 8 runs, P Vignesh gave an exceptional effort; Suboth Bhati and Varun Chakravarthy both picked up two wickets, so bowling IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans out for 108 in 19.4 overs.

Ashwin and Vimal Khumar (28 off 27 balls) start with an 81 run opening partnership in 8.2 overs during the chase. Ashwin knocked successive sixes off P Bhuvaneswaran in the 11th over, therefore securing the Dragons' victory.
