Darshan's Wife Speaks Out After Actor's Arrest In Renukaswamy Murder Case: Let Justice Prevail

Kannada actor Darshan has been under arrest for his involvement in the murder of his fan Renukaswamy. According to police sources, Renukaswamy had sent obscene messages to actress and Darshan's friend Pavithra Gowda. This enraged Darshan, allegedly leading to his murder. Renukaswamy's body was found near a storm-water drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli in Bengaluru on June 9.

As Darshan and his associates continue to face the heat in the alleged murder case, the actor's wife has broken her silence in the matter.

Vijayalakshmi shares a post in social media after husband Darshan's arrest

Vijayalakshmi took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of the injunction order in the Reukaswamy murder case. She wrote in her Instagram stories, “At the outset, I express my heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased Sri Renukaswamy. Alongside, the last few days have been full of anguish for Darshan, myself, my teenage son & all of Darshan’s friends, family & Fans.”

“With this order issued by the Honourable Court, I hope people will put to rest, some falsified information & untruths that were being spread across various media & social media platforms. I urge everyone to kindly publish only what is officially put out by the enforcement authorities. I have full faith in Ma Chamundeshwari & in our legal system. Let Justice Prevail,” she added.

A lowdown on Renukaswamy murder case

A total 17 people, including Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda, are accused in the murder case. According to sources, one of the accused, Raghavendra, who is part of Darshan’s fan club in Chitradurga, had brought Renukaswamy to a shed in RR Nagar in Bengaluru, on the pretext that Darshan wanted to meet him. It was in this shed that he was allegedly tortured and killed.

The investigation team is believed to have gathered enough evidence, including CCTV footage, which could establish that Darshan was present during the alleged assault on Renukaswamy, leading to his death, sources said.
