Hollywood Box Office: Deadpool & Wolverine is inching towards ₹100 crore at the box office in India and should cross it by the end of its second weekend. The Hollywood actioner, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, generated immense hype before it hit the big screens on July 26. In its opening weekend it did good business, even outshining Indian titles like Kalki 2898 AD and Bad Newz. Now, it is eyeing the ₹100 crore club in India before the second weekend winds up on Sunday.

Deadpool & Wolverine India box office collection breakdown

According to Sacnilk, the Shawn Levy directorial has collected ₹94.11 crore in India in 8 days. It had registered a good opening weekend collection of ₹64.55 crore in all languages but the figures dipped drastically going into the weekdays. The period from Monday to Friday was dull for the action-packed fare, with business in the range of ₹6 crore to ₹5 crore. The drop was estimated to be around 70 percent, hinting it will not sustain for long.

Nevertheless, Deadpool & Wolverine is likely to emerge as a hit and will look to surpass Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire as the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India in 2024.

English and Hindi biz of Deadpool & Wolverine leads India collection

The major contributors to Deadpool & Wolverine India collection are its English and Hindi versions. The English version leads with ₹48.92 crore, followed by the Hindi version with ₹36.45 crore. The Tamil and Telugu versions of the film have contributed ₹5.17 crore and ₹3.57 crore respectively to its biz.

If the collections of Deadpool & Wolverine are compared with Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, the former leads by a huge margin. In 8 days, the Monsterverse film had managed to earn ₹62 crore in India in all languages. Its lifetime nett collection stands at a little over ₹112 crore and that seems to be the record Deadpool & Wolverine will be chasing.
