Sonu Nigam Breaks Down, Cries Inconsolably On Meeting Krishan Kumar At Tishaa's Prayer Meet: Watch

Sonu Nigam was among the several members of the industry who attended the prayer meeting of Tishaa to offer their condolence to the family. T-Series head Bhushan Kumar's cousin and actor-producer Krishan Kumar's daughter Tishaa Kumar, who died due to prolonged illness, was cremated in Mumbai on Monday. A video from the prayer meeting of the 21-year-old showed ace singer Sonu Nigam breaking down and crying inconsolably upon meeting her father. 

Sonu Nigam breaks down on meeting Krishan Kumar 

Tishaa is survived by her parents Krishan and Tanya Kumar. Krishan is the cousin of producer Bhushan Kumar and co-owner of the family label - T-Series. Inside video from the prayer meeting shows Sonu Nigam falling on Krishan's feet. 

The singer can be seen crying inconsolably at the meeting. Tishaa's father Krishan consoles him. The video also featured singers Shaan and Udit Narayan also present at the time. Fans of the singer took to the comment section to speculate that he shared a close bond with the family which is why he is extremely affected by the loss. Others speculated that the singer had lost his mother to cancer, which was the cause of death for Tishaa as well. Nevertheless, the video has been doing rounds on social media. 

T-Series issues a statement confirming Tishaa's untimely death

Reportedly, Tishaa was born on September 6, 2003. Her father is yesteryear actor and producer Krishan Kumar and her mother is Tanya Singh, daughter of music composer Ajit Singh. "Tishaa Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar, passed away yesterday after a prolonged battle with an illness. This is a difficult time for the family, and we kindly request that the family’s privacy is respected," the official statement read. Social media was soon flooded with condolences and messages expressing support for the Kumar family.

Tishaa's most recent public appearance was in November 2023, when she, along with her father, attended the premiere of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Bobby Deol.
