New Delhi: India Post has issued the much-awaited recruitment notification inviting online applications for the post of GDS, BPM, ABPM. A total of 44228 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. The online application began on July 15 and will end on August 5. Aspirants can apply online at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The vacancies are for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) as Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak posts. Candidates who have passed class 10th exam from a recognised board can apply online.

India Post GDS Salary
Emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) plus Dearness Allowance thereon are paid to the GDS. The applicable TRCA to different categories are as under:
- BPM- Rs.12,000- 29,380
- ABPM -Rs.10,000- 24,470
Educational Qualification:
The candidate should have a secondary school examination pass certificate of the 10th standard, having passed in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) from any recognized board of school education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India.
AGE LIMIT: 16 to 40 years
GDS Recruitment 2024: Application Fees
Applicants must pay a fee of Rs 100/- for all positions advertised in the selected division. All-female candidates, SC/ST candidates, PWD candidates, and Transwoman candidates are exempted from paying application fees.
