Kolkata: Outrage has surged across the country following the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata following strikes and withdrawal of medical services by doctors across the country, meanwhile supreme court is set to hear a suo moto cognizance on the case on Tuesday, 20th August.

Kolkata rape victim's mother has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of Suppressing the protests. She said while speaking to ANI, 'We are upset with the West Bengal Government's role in the case, Chief Minister is trying to end protest', Said victim's mother.
